BLUME
Hi! My name is MaryJo Callaghan and I am the sole proprietor of Blume Vermont, a small business I created in the Summer of 2017. We are passionate about the cultivation and distribution of annual and perennial flowers, as well as spreading the love of gardening throughout our community.
Blume focuses on growing all things floral - including cut flowers for events and enjoyment, and superior perennial, vegetable, and container gardens.
We are based out of a small farm located on Rte. 7B Central
in North Clarendon, Vermont. Our gardening clients residences expand across central Vermont, including Pomfret, Woodstock, Killington, Ludlow, Mount Holly, Manchester, Castleton, and Rutland. We offer a weekly and monthly CSA subscription. We also attend two markets per week, including Ludlow Farmer’s Market and Rutland’s Wednesday Farmer‘s Market.
Please contact us if you have any questions about our services offered - Blume is here to make all your floral and gardening dreams come true!

OUR STORY
As a lifelong gardener and steward of the earth, I was raised to cultivate and treasure the gifts of gardening, farming, and mother nature. New England summers provided a great bounty of food, art, and entertainment to my family. I recall fondly spending long summer days late into the evening tending our family gardens, harvesting and preserving, cooking, canning, and freezing. Frequently learning about the healthful uses of herbs and flowers, and of course nutritious foods as medicine.
My career as a gardener began in 2013, on Nantucket Island, thirty miles off the coast of Massachusetts, I worked in some of the most spectacular gardens in the world. I learned the art and efficiency of fine gardening, mentored by exquisitely talented and detailed horticulturists.
When I returned to Vermont I saw a need for more professional gardening services- going beyond just ‘landscaping’- I wanted to share my knowledge of fine gardening with clients across Central Vermont. In doing so I have networked with dozens of other people who are also connected to the earth and what she has to offer.
Growing cut flowers came as a natural counterpart to my horticulturist aspirations. Soon I had fallen deeply into the world of farming and rigorously pursued building a space to grow cut flowers. I am committed to growing local, sustainable crops in an effort to cut down on international flower sales. Every flower, vegetable, and herb that I grow and sell is started from seed, right here in Vermont or at nearby New England nurseries. My mission in the cut flower business is to provide accessibly priced flowers for everybody, while supporting local growers, businesses, restaurants, and the community as a whole.
